the first season was more of a 4-star experience for me, but season 2 & 3 had such a leap in production quality, and it really dove into the characters and their relationships in a very cool way.so, so queer. I don't think I've seen such a variety of queerness in one audiodrama before, it was so refreshing! especially having non-monogamous rep, always appreciate that as a relationship anarchist myself!!the voice acting is generally quite good, a few are alright but there's so much heart in how people show up as their characters and on the writing that it never bothered me. the character writing is good and believable, the story itself is intriguing and had many moments of mystery and tension. the characters are all quirky and flawed and adorable.I love how they tied things into the real-world, with many queer, neurodivergent, abolitionist and racial justice issues woven into the fantasy elements. it made the urban fantasy world so much more real and relatable, and gives it a very spunky energy that I loved.so ya, if you like magic, explorations of character, relationships, queerness, mental health and are yourself someone who strives for liberation, you will enjoy this sweet audiodrama!
